The Oniverse transformation

Oniverse, formerly Calzedonia Group, manages a fast-growing portfolio of 15 brands across fashion, yachting and food & wine, including Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis and Signorvino. With over 5700 stores in 57 countries and more than 45000 employees, delivering cohesive digital experiences across markets had become very complex. 

The challenge wasn’t just technical, but also organizational. Centralized teams handled strategy, content production, translations and publication for 35+ country sites and multiple apps. The result was long turnaround times, high coordination costs and little ability to localize quickly. 

Oniverse turned to CoreMedia to shift from a centralized content model to a scalable and collaborative platform, built to support both global consistency and local responsiveness.

From bottlenecks to balance

Previously, every content initiative, from campaign landing pages to seasonal banners, passed through a centralized digital operations hub (DOH). While effective at enforcing brand standards, this setup was less agile. 

Each project followed a complex process, and local teams had limited autonomy and visibility into how content would perform in context. 

With CoreMedia, Oniverse decentralized control without sacrificing consistency. Now, local e-commerce teams have direct access to edit and publish pre-approved components. Content is initially created centrally and then pushed to regions for localization, review and release, resulting in shortened translation processes and increased content relevance.

  • Multichannel approach: CoreMedia’s architecture makes it easy to reuse and adapt content across web and app, cutting duplication and ensuring consistent experiences. 

  • Built-in translation workflows: Automated handoffs and approval processes accelerated the rollout of localized content for 35+ countries. 

  • Direct publication for local teams: With guardrails in place, regional e-commerce teams gained the autonomy to edit and publish without waiting on central approval. 

  • No more manual HTML: A visual, component-based editor replaced hand-coding, simplifying content creation and reducing the technical burden on teams. 

Thanks to this new setup, go-to-market speed improved, especially for localized messages. Local teams can now respond faster to changes in inventory or market conditions, a critical advantage in fast fashion.
