For the first time on a worldwide scale, T-Systems Multimedia Solutions deploys the new web content management software CoreMedia 8

CoreMedia 8 offers accelerated workflows and enhanced collaboration thanks to its multisite and multilanguage functions

T-Systems HAMBURG , June 8, 2015 — For the first time on a global scale, CoreMedia and T-Systems Multimedia Solutions are implementing the latest version of CoreMedia 8, the web content management (WCM) software. Its enhanced multisite and multi-language functions proved particularly decisive when it came to the upgrade decision. The ability to switch easily between different websites and languages quickens translation workflows, and everything is managed from a single platform.

T-Systems Multimedia Solutions has carried out the first implementation of CoreMedia 8 for its parent company, T-Systems. More than 40 of the company’s websites are being updated with the latest version of the CoreMedia software. T-Systems’ online content is available in 22 countries and provided in 17 languages. The new software was implemented in just 30 days.

In addition, CoreMedia 8 offers greater potential when it comes to collaboration. Changes made by various editors are visible immediately, thereby significantly improving content maintenance and editorial synergies. And now, even publishing workflows are less susceptible to errors. For example, users are made aware of potential flaws, like a missing link or mandatory fields left blank, at the beginning of the publishing process. Implementation partner T-Systems Multimedia Solutions gained experience with CoreMedia 8 already during the software development phase, which means it was able to test all the new functions early on.

“We’ve been partnering with CoreMedia for more than 10 years now, and we’re deploying the solution for several clients with good results. The many years of experience are reflected in successful projects like this one,” explains Dr. Rolf Werner, CEO of T-Systems Multimedia Solutions.

CoreMedia’s CEO Gerrit Kolb elaborated: “These days, users want an online experience that’s tailored to them personally. With our forward-looking web content management system, we support T-Systems in exactly that way.”
