N24 Selects CoreMedia’s Content Management System for Website Re-launch
Leading German news website to replace legacy solution with CoreMedia’s CMS to offer greater support in time-sensitive creation and distribution of content
HAMBURG and SAN FRANCISCO, July 9, 2012 — CoreMedia, a leading Web content management (WCM) company, today announced that Berlin-based online television news website N24.de has selected CoreMedia’s Content Management System (CMS). Replacing its legacy CMS, N24 will deploy CoreMedia’s CMS to optimize editorial processes, including the management and delivery of contextually-aware content throughout multiple channels.
Attracting between 16 and 20 million visitors per month, N24’s website features a content portal, which houses a library of video and editorial content. The site also hosts a virtual editorial office in which editors and journalists prepare and distribute video and editorial reports across syndicated channels and a variety of devices. CoreMedia’s CMS will offer N24 editors, journalists and broadcasters access to a unified system for the creation and distribution of digital content. Editors will access the CMS via CoreMedia Studio, a zero-install Web based environment that empowers business users to easily publish content and adapt it across multiple user touchpoints. Even video content can be edited directly in CoreMedia Studio for use on the Web.

CoreMedia’s CMS will enable the contextualization and personalization of content distributed by N24. Based on context sources such as current time, user access location or previously read articles, content presented to N24’s audience will dynamically adjust to present the most contextually relevant content specific to each viewer. In addition, N24 will implement CoreMedia Elastic Social which will allow moderators control over social functions such as moderation of comments, administration of users and integration of social networks.
