More User Generated Content. Greater Ease-of-Use for Editors
The Haufe Group Modernizes Webcontent Management for its Online Shop and 11 Sub-Portals
Hamburg, 16 July 2013 —The Haufe Group, a media and software company based in Freiburg, has converted 11 sub-portals under the “Haufe” brand on haufe.de with CoreMedia 7. The company is using the latest version of the Web Content Management System from Hamburg-based CoreMedia AG to implement CoreMedia technology Elastic Social, which in turn integrates user-generated content. The Freiburg group of companies has deployed Elastic Social to manage postings made by over 30,000 registered customers and key users to forums on its sub-portals.Plans also call for the introduction of the CoreMedia Studio editorial interface.
“We were already using a previous version of CoreMedia and the solution won us over, in particular due to its easy integration with our existing SAP systems," explains Uwe Rymkuß, the unit manager responsible for product development at the Haufe Group.“CoreMedia Elastic Social makes it easier for us to manage our forums, and it also connects our portals to social media platforms such as Facebook, Xing and Twitter.”Active users on haufe.de’s specialized portals are primarily users with medium-size companies, tax consultants and attorneys, and public sector employees, as well as housing associations and property managers.
“Thanks to the interface’s ease-of-use, our editors are already able to focus entirely on journalism. Content from existing databases is also being integrated without any problems. Once CoreMedia Studio is in action as an editorial interface, we expect the burden on our editors to be eased even further,” Rymkuß says with confidence.
“The Haufe Group is exemplary when it comes to using one’s own content and building on the contributions of expert communities," states Jochen Toppe, Vice President of Product Management at CoreMedia. “We’re looking forward to supporting the Haufe Group with our solutions to enhance their portals in the future as well.”
