Skillnet
Since 1999 Skillnet has been working closely together with CoreMedia AG. In six CoreMedia projects for customers including debitel AG, Grundig AG and the Hamburger Sparkasse (Haspa), Skillnet has carried out system installations (both Internet- and Intranet-based) starting with conceptual groundwork right through to, if requested, complete project realisation from a single source.
Beyond the technology deployment of CoreMedia products in Skillnet projects, Skillnet has worked successfully for CoreMedia as a management consulting company for the past five years, working on issues from central strategic questions through to focussed analyses of customer requirements. Current Skillnet employees bring practical "front-line" experience from the provider as well as client side e.g. as project managers for CoreMedia installations for so-called high traffic portals such as sport1.de or as CTO in the area of content syndication.
In addition to CoreMedia project management, concept planning as well as technical realisation, Skillnet can upon request offer services in screen- and content design through its subsidiary Superscreen [www.superscreen.de]. Superscreen has detailed CoreMedia know how through e.g. the complete design of the CoreMedia based Haspa portal [www.haspa.de] and the regional city-portal [www.hamburg.de].
Founded in 1995 as the first European management consulting company to concentrate on the evolving "converging multimedia market" with exclusive focus on the TIMES segments (Telecoms, Information Technology, Media, E-Business and Service Provider), Skillnet [www.skillnet.com] works for large enterprises and financial institutions active in these segments. Skillnet's business activities cover the four units Management Consulting, Technology Consulting, Financial Services, and Market Intelligence.
This gives Skillnet the accumulated experience base of around 600 projects for over 100 customers (e.g. arvato systems, Axel Springer, Bertelsmann, Deutsche Telekom, EDS Premiere, ProSieben Sat 1, SBS and Vodafone).
In the e-Government/regional portal area Skillnet has know-how from projects for the shareholders and/or operator companies of the three largest German regional portals berlin.de, hamburg.de and the new muenchen.de (to be launched end 2003), the state portal schleswig holstein.de as well as support for the federal state government North Rhine-Westphalia in the development of the "European Center for e-Government".
