CoreMedia Presents UMTS-Enabled Content Technologyat CeBIT 2004

Multi-Channel Delivery of Multimedia Content to UMTS Devices with Integrated Digital Rights Management

At this year's CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, leading content technology expert CoreMedia will showcase its UMTS-enabled Smart Content Technology. This innovative content management solution was already presented successfully at last week's 3GSM WorldCongress in Cannes, France.

Easy and secure delivery of music, films, videos and games to various platforms and particularly to next generation mobile phones is an especially important factor for future business models for entertainment portals that offer comprehensive multimedia content.

"With the introduction of UMTS services this year, portal providers and enterprises quickly have to be able to create content media-neutrally and simultaneously deliver it to a wide range of media", said Sören Stamer, CEO and Founder of CoreMedia. "Our sophisticated content management technology offers a solution for that. We enable broadband portals to also address UMTS users in the future."

With CoreMedia Smart Content Technology, portals and enterprises can already today distribute their content via multi-channel delivery to a wide range of delivery platforms: Internet, Intranet, PDAs and other mobile devices as well as interactive TV.

Entertainment content is protected with CoreMedia Digital Rights Management for Mobile Services, which has been developed in accordance with the specifications of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA). OMA (www.openmobilealliance.org) unites the leading 360 network operators, mobile service providers, handset manufacturers, IT companies and content providers and aims to define standards for new mobile services.
