SEAT launches the sale of new vehicles via the Internet
CoreMedia is gaining a dynamic, successful automobile manufacturer among its customers as SEAT S.A. drives its business forward. The ability to configure the precise model for individual needs and wishes, as well as "parking" alternative configurations varying models, features and pricing in a personal "garage", is offered to potential SEAT purchasers. To implement the innovative online sales distribution channel from SEAT Germany under www.eSEAT.com, the VW subsidiary SEAT S.A. selected the open and flexible system architecture of the CoreMedia CMS for its content management. The capability for rapid, transparent integration of systems into the network of interconnected computers and into the IBM application server WebSphere proved to be decisive in favor of CoreMedia CMS. Implementation partner for the project, the Hamburg-based Elephant Seven GmbH, made full use of the open system architecture of the CoreMedia CMS. Elephant Seven mastered the challenge of integrating systems into the existing IT structures at SEAT within only a few weeks and afterwards could carry out the flexible adaptations and enhancements of the newly conceived services. | |
